i think you should check out the wiring diagram that mtx offers. if your amp is 2 ohm stable and your running the subs at 1.4ohms then thats your problem. the amp isnt designed to handle that little resistance and the protection will come on. the only way i see to fix it is to pick a different wiring diagram or get a 1ohm stable amp. you may be able to just get a resistor and put it in line with the speaker wire, but id have no clue on which one to get. sorry i couldnt be of more help.
