howdy all, my babies missin again and with work and college startin again i need help!!!!!!!!!! my moneys tight so im trying to deduce whats causing this again. when i first got my 2000 blazer 4.3 vortec it had 71000 on it. every now and again under a load itd misfire on cyl 4, new ngk plugs an autozone cap and rotor button and plug wires and shes been runnin great. now im at 104000 and P0300 shows multiple random misses,,, i can feel them in the wheel and it mainly happens at idle. if anybodys had this happen if u could shed some advice on it cause if its my coil or cap i can do that soon myself... but lol its balljoint time my babies a stubborn ride but ive put so muchof my blood and money in her i cant trade her in. its one thing after another with a car. also anybody know the specs for resistance on the wires and the coil? i can use my meter to test em, i think the coil has to show infinite to be good, i also heard that duracrap didstributor caps dont last long on the 4.3s, maybe its time for an upgrade, any advice wud be appreciated thanks guys!!!!!!!

Anyone good with this topic?

I'm having trouble getting my car to pass readiness tests and I'm not sure whats the best thing to do or try.

The only odd ball things on my car is the second O2 is not hooked up at all, but the P0140 code is set for no reporting via DHP powrtuner. I also shut off P0300 because with my cam profile and lope it see's it as a multiple miss fire.

I've been able to get the car to pass the O2 monitor, but EGR Catalyst and O2 heater wont pass... I don't expect O2 heater to pass since the sensor is just not there, but why wont the EGR pass? Its 100% operational and I can see it being used during a drive when I'm scanning.

Any help would be greatfull.

Getting ready to swap a 4200 and transmission out of 2005 Trailblazer into a '58 Chev sedan delivery. This engine has been out long enough now that ther must be some upgrades, but I can't find much anywhere. Cams, headers, ecm upgrades, better fuel injectors??? I should probably install it as is because it only has 50K miles on it but I can't help myself.

Lately I have been running into a weird situation with my Red(this is important,LOL) 1999 GMC Sonoma ExtCab 4X4 auto w/4.3 and 152000 miles in that while driving with steady to light throttle and with or without cruise, the engine RPM will jump up 100 to 250 RPM then drop back down. It does this even when not in full closed loop. It acts like the lockup torque converter is unlocking-locking-unlocking-locking, etc. My scanner doesn't show any codes but doesn't have the capability to do the trannie. One observation is that the percentage for the TPS, which normally displays 4-8% while driving, will jump up to as much as 20% at the same time as when the RPM jumps up and then back to 4-8 when the RPM drops back down. Anyone else experienced this and can offer some suggestions?
