Really, the best thing would be to replace the transmission with another stock one.

Re: 3300 needing a trany

Well I truefully thought about the l67 with stage 4 upgrades but does the motor have the same mounts bc im not really wanting to cut the car up but eventually i wanted to get the white paint replaced with perl white metalic get a set of black and chrome 17's and paint that ugly grey trim metalic black i have a budy that paints cars he said he would do it cheep but the main thing is what would it take to put that 3800 in?

im almost positive it does but thats alot of power. i wouldn't see that necessary. i think whole thing is a bolt in but you just need to swap the wiring. goto l67swap.com they have ton of info.

Re: 3300 needing a trany

Changing the transmission from a 3speed to a 4speed, isn't exactly a bolt in afar. They have different axles. Mounting could be different.
You'll need an ECU (computer) that works with the engine/trans combination you're using (although you could get something custom worked up).

l67swap.com is a great resource, as is 3400swap.com.

Another thing to remember is the 93 Century doesn't really handle very well (lets be honest) and was made to roll around with little more than 150HP. If you put a heavier engine\trans combo in that produces 300+ HP, you can end up with quite a handful on your hands.

:)

Re: 3300 needing a trany

I was thinking about the 3800 would be awsome in a saturn sky but that would be a lot of work therer also and i doubt i could get a rwd trany for it and i was possibly gonna rebuild the whole buicks motor and trany and keep it for gas milage bc im getting almost 33mpg when i keep out of it!

Re: 3300 needing a trany

mid-96-02 F-bodies had the 3.8, yank a tranny out of one of those for a Saturn Sky swap.
