97 gtp laptop tune/log
I have seen a few products, namely 'powrtuner', (maybe)available for the 97 gtp.
I intend to do the 3.2 SC pulley, cold air intake, exhaust restriction delete, 180* thermostat, and possibly ram air down the road. The car never sees less than 93 octane, AKA $$$ I wish gas would go back down.
My question TO ANYONE WHO HAS DONE THAT is should I just get the first $100 PCM upgrade I run across, or do I need something to interface the laptop and fine tune/monitor/log?
Along with the obvious fuel delivery changes the PCM will need, I would also like traction control deleted, speed limiter removed, fans on above 180*, transmission shifts improved (higher line pressure and different shift points), and that damn lag at 40MPH removed. Most of the aftermarket PCM's offer this, but I don't see how they can send a generic reflash out to cover stock pulleys all the way down to 3.0.
Any advice is appreciated but not as much as word From Someone With Experience With The GTP!!!
Thanks y'all, and happy first post to me on this board! :)
BTW, do you have to do a CASE relearn with the new PCM? Do the remote door keys need reprogrammed? Thanks!
