another flows question
ok i almost bought a delta flow 40 muffler last night for my car, but i stopped because of some reviews ive heard, and after looking at every forum i know i still cant decide, so im here for a final vote.
I want my car to be pretty loud, but not obnoxiously loud, ESPECIALLY on the inside, i gotta be able to hear my music and talk to people. SO that would lead me to buy delta flows, but alot of reviews say that people think theyre too quiet, and im not gonna spend money on them if theyre not gonna get me noticed. I also dont know whether or not to get my resonator taken out if i put on the delta flow (just replacing muffler for right now) and what a difference it will make
I wish my car would scream from the outside like the original 40 flows, as ive heard nyway, but i dont know if i want to be setting off car alarms and be unable to talk inside my car, they are kinda cheap tho... 37 vs. 73
so any suggestions would be appreciated, also, how much should shops be charging me for just chopping off the muffler and welding the new one in place?
thanks

Delta flows are REALLY restrictive and quiet... normal flow 40's are loud and unrestrictive from what I hear... and I fail to understand why one would even get delta's... everyone does though. Go to flowmaster's website and look at the insides of the mufflers... theres a big difference between the delta and non delta (baffles, and such).

most of the posts say it doesnt do a whole lot, maybee i should just get the flows put on and then if i need it a tad louder ill have the resonator taken out
and so 2inch muffler should fit over my 2 inch pipe right, or would going 2.25 flows help deepen the sound, and would using 2.25 even work on stock pipes?
thanks

Stock pipe = 2" outside diameter. Buy a muffler that has a 2" inside diameter and you will be set to go. At least thats what mine was.

alright man, thanks bob, i think ill do that 73 bucks is the best i can find from summitracing
i just hope its loud enough to get me noticed.... theres a few celicas i need to show up at school
hey peyman how many times louder than stock would you say your flows are? are there any part numbers stamped on them?
honestly the only thing im worried about now is the deltas not being as loud as i want them to be and people wont even notice the muffler change.
