Dying car, can someone help?

Hey again!
My parents in law are trying to sell there old Bonneville, yesterday when someone test drove it it died on them, and that is the second time. We cant figure out what is wrong because it does some wierd stuff when it dies, if anyone knows anything that would be great, this is what happened:

Car died while in park, inside front door panel lights flashing.
Power windows, locks and seats not working
Cranks over fine-tries to start, runs chiggy pressing on gas does nothing. Dies after about 30 seconds
Car sat in the On position for a while, then door locks worked and so did seat, windows and car stayed running after started.
It did it about a month ago and both times had 1/4 tank of gas.
Volts are at 12.4 and the fuses where all checked
When this happened the radio, power mirrors, and power antenna still worked.
What would make this happen?
Any ideas?

Thanks for the help
Brandon

Re: Dying car, can someone help?

Sounds like what was happening to my Grand Am after reinstalling the battery, and I'd forgot to tighten down the negative cable. Ran fine when was at speed, but with the alternator not turning fast enough to provide a spark it died, and the lights flashed.

Check the grounding wires. Make sure there is good connection to the battery, and all the engine grounding points are good.

Has there been any electronic work done to the car recently? Like a new radio or alarm? Are there any aftermarket accessories (like radio, sub, or alarm)? Maybe something came loose and is grounding out.

They did clean and tighten the terminals on the battery, there was nothing done electronically at all latley, it is an old car with a lot of miles so I think something just finally went. I dont know, someone said something about a Body Control Fuse, have you heard of this at all?
