TB Spacer? WTF is that for?

someone shed some light? what is this TB spacer for?

Is it just for getting a good contact with CAI or something more complicated than that?

it doesn't do anything, except if you want to put a nitrous port in it. Spacers work on carbed cars because the fuel is atomized in the space after the carb. So the more spce, the more well mixed the fuel is with the air. But on Fuel injuected cars, it doesn't do anything other than give you a nice place for a nitrous port. While it will increase manifold volume by an extremely small amount, it isn't enough to feel or even see on a dyno. And the "Mega spiraling system" it has is a gimmick just like the tornado.

So all spacers do is give you a nice spot to install a nitorus port, otherwise they are pointless.

It's also good to have on the L67 motor (sc 3800) because it keeps the heat from the eaton M90 away from the TB. Other than that and what achieva stated there is no point in getting one.

it would help minimally to keep less heat from transferring to the t/b housing, heating the air at a much earlier time allowing it to get hotter before it reached your cylinders, but the only way to get any use out of it would to be dissconnecting the coolant line that runs through the t/b, thats where 80% of the heat the metal in the t/b is picked up at. but if you live in a northern state i really wouldnt reccomend it, this slows down the time it takes yo heat up your engine to working temperature in cold areas dramatically, thus increasing wear and tear.

Some people don't like drilling holes in intake manifolds.;)
