White Needle Gages?

Sewwt98gagt and everyone alse that have done this, how do you do it?

Also I really love the Reverse Indigos. IMO The regular Indigo Gages are too bright and flashy

You can paint the needles (they wont light up decently) or you can buy an indiglo needle set off of eBay. From what I hear they are not too hard to install.

Try stained glass paint if you decide to paint them. I've heard it works well.

ah im going to try that

no actually i got the needle light up kit from importintelligence.com which puts LED's behind the needle, and then i sanded the orange off and painted it white (cause they said to do that to help carry the light up to the end of the needle)
they werent that hard to install, but the copper wiring for each LED is so rediculously hair fine that they could easily break/rip whatever...it took us about 20 min to get the gauge cluster back in without fudgin up all the wiring

I hate speedhut gages for the font design and the holes everywhere for the dummy lights... yuck.

Otherwise the needles are cool.

Hmmm, speedhut. I love my speedhut gauges. I don't mind the holes for the dummy lights.
They make me want to get more indiglo in my interior

Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought of staned glass paint.
That goes on my list of possible things to do.

Cheap procarparts gages. People have the mindset that the stuff that costs 3x more is 3x better. Not in my opinion. I loved my gages and they didnt have big blocks cut out of them. It wouldn't be a problem with me if the blocks were all the same size... but they aren't... so no speedhut for me. PLUS... the font on the procarparts gages looks soooo much better... in my opinion.

So... thats what I prefer... LOL

You COULD cover them up with a white ring (sticker) of some sort, but I liked them... they look better in person.

Just go to eBay and search for "grand am gauges"

They also make a silver faced with blue font reverse glow gage set. My friend has them in his 97 and they look like this:

I like these a lot too cuz the font is the same as stock. They look great at night too.

are the ones you had in your car reverse?

Also did you have to modify the pod at all?

I am redooing my Interior this spring :D

Yeah the ones I had in my car were reverse. Reverse glows, only the font face lights up. In full indiglos, the whole face of the gage lights up, and the font doesn't.

The pod yeah I had to modify it a little. Some do, some don't. All I did was take a hair dryer and heat it up, then bent the corners in a little bit (so it would fit flush). I brought in my stock pillar and just kept matching it up til it was near perfect. But like I said, some don't have to mod it at all.

My gages were $37 shipped off of eBay (not the pod gages, the stock replacement gages I'm talking about) and so were Russ's (the second set of pix).
