4.3 is lazy

anyone know how to get power out of a 4.3? these things are pretty lazy in a full size truck. maby the best thing is to just buy a truck with a 5.7 or a new genIII 4.8 or 5.3? but i don't have the cash for that.

There's no real cheap way of doing it. It would probably be cheaper to get the 5.7L... LT1 and take that hit.

get the 5.3L with thte 3:42 rear end thier pretty quick. if you get an ls1 your gunna have to change the tranny and the rear end out to get some power to the ground

u know what? forget it. i'll just sell the truck and get something else. i wanted to get more power out of the existing power plant but they just don't make any power. period.

thats probably your best bet. WHile the the 4.3 is no slouch of a truck motor, it's best fit for trucks on the smaller end off the spectrum.
