Cadillac = Lazy

I'm typing this because I don't like how on the new cars Cadillac is comming out with are only using 3-letter abreviations for the names insted of just using an actual name. I think that by using these abreviations it's degrading the cars. For example the redesigned '05 Seville is only going to be called the STS for short insted of keeping the full name. What's next, the next Escalade being shortend to ELT or how about the divisions name while we're at it....CMD (Cadillac Motor Division).

abreviations and what they stand for:
CTS- Catera Touring Sedan
'05 STS- Seville Touring Sedan
'06 DTS- Deville Touring Sedan
SRX- Sport Recreation X(cross)over
XLR- X Luxury Roadster (they couldn't come up with a name?)

I personally think the names fit....think of the high end euro cars and such out there with abbreivated names and their success..."seville, and deville" remind me of an old fuckers cari wouldnt be caught in.

Cadillac is trying to pull away from their old man image, into a more sport-luxury image. Thats why they are renaming the models with 3 letter names, just like BMW MErcedes and all the other cars in its class.

type slow? lol i have been out in them they are pretty quick but i think its a waste of a car, put it in a better body and give it a better trany, the one i drove was reallyl goey and you had to yank it itno gear, not slide it into, i guess not bad for a 4 banger.

but the k20a2 respondes well to mods. Ive heard with a reflash i/h/e they make 220 at the wheels.

i dont halfway beleive that..

not to mention, modifying it is difficult bcause of its setup...to put a CAI on it you have to relocate the entire windsheild washer resevoir. etc

aight think about it really. One.......if thats what would keep you from getting a Caddi you're a few fries short of a happy meal. Two.......everything has to do with money. So you could look at it like a business and say "well if we cut down the letters that would mean less materials needed to make longer words" take that and multiply it by however many rides they make with abbreviated words, and you do the math. third.....who cares lol
