i got one too, woohoo.

it's a '99 GMC Sonoma ZQ8. ZQ8 is a suspension package, same one on the S-10 Xtremes, or Extremes, or whatever it is.

The Sport, or ZQ8, suspension package for two-wheel-drive regular and extended cab models is designed for performance enthusiasts. This street suspension package enhances handling and goes a long way toward making the Sonoma ride and drive like a car. This is accomplished using shorter springs, high-performance gas shock absorbers, urethane bounce jumpers, front and rear stabilizer bars, specially tuned variable-ratio power steering and wide eight-inch aluminum wheels with Goodyear P235/55R-16 tires. An optional locking rear differential enhances traction on unpaved roads.

the truck's loaded, every option except leather. power driver seat, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, heated mirrors, sliding rear window, cd and (remote) cassette player, 4.3l/auto.

it's in pretty good shape, overall. needs a couple things repaired/replaced, which is why i got a killer deal on it. driver side lower ball joint needs replaced, the AC compressor needs replaced, brake pads (maybe rotors too), and new tires (which is the big deal, probably run 500ish for cheapo-s)

sonomas are the hotness. i drove a rental sonoma with th3 4.3 vortec, it was nice. sucked onna gas tho.

yeah... previous owner said he got 19-22 driving about 60/40 (highway/city). i'm only planning on two "mods", one being a cloth tonneau (spelling?) cover, one of the roll-up ones, then intake, only for breathing assistance :p

other than that, it will be kept 100% stock, so i can have a nice daily driver.

and yessss, sonoma's are sweet, they look much better than the S-10 (i love the hood)

I don't know how I missed this. I love the ZQ8 Sonomas. I agree that they look nicer than the S10s. Good luck with it.
