now im not sure on the 2.2, but i know people that have the 4.3 and they've used a power programmer, pullies, exhaust, CAI, cam, and a whole bunch of other stuff. but the 4.3 is so close to a V8 its not even funny.
i'd look into a power programmer for it. you just plug it into your dash and answer a few yes/no questions and it's WELL worth the money. the S10 usually has a pretty big aftermarket, so parts shouldn't be that hard to find for it. your major problem is going to be the 2.2 |

PVC pipe. raid the local home depot's plumbing department and look for stuff. as you look you'll see stuff you need or could use.
a 4.3 with a 5 speed wouldn't be that bad........a 350 on the other hand is a different story. i have a cousin that took the 2.3 out of his project S10 and put in a 4.3 out of a full size and that thing will get sideways from a standstill punch. and he hasn't even done anything to the engine yet |
