WOW, neat.
The 3.0L Opal V6 that was used in previous Vues was replaced in 2004 with a Honda 3.5L 250HP verson.
The 3.5 is also used in the Pilot and Honda minivan.

I was watching TV and saw a comercal for the new 250HP Vue. Very confused I did some resurch. :D

its a gearless transmission... its got less moving parts, and it controls tranny output with a (very expensive) steel belt...

And it has infinite gears. If the car wants gear 3.5 bam it throws it into gear 3.5

It is infinately variable between 2 gears. Like a snowmobile transmission.

Some Honda hybrid had/has it too... The Insight maybe? my brother in law did a huge ass paper about the CVT last spring, I wanna read it, but don't see him often enough, and he forgets to bring it home :(

my mums ion has the 5 speed auto. the optons are, a 4 speed auto, a 5 speed manual, 5 speed VVT, and the 5 speed auto. my mums car gets awsome milege but its so weid to drive a speed auto. it pretty dam peppy for a ion. i can not wait til the ion redline comes out soon.
