Wide Open Throttle.

I don’t know if any body talked about it or not.

I have problem on my Yukon Denali with 6.2L in Wide Open Throttle it have too much time delay & some time the car slows down till my head go forward then it will break mu neck when the car start to dash.

Some time you need to overtake, the car on the other side won’t wait for my damn 4 sec delay.

It’s happen when a big truck was coming while I was over taking another truck.

This delay is too dangerous.

Do you think GM will do some thing for this issue?

Re: Wide Open Throttle.

I've heard of this happening on older Suburbans and it was the cataylic converter ... you punch the gas, it speeds up a little, about 3 seconds later it takes off.

Re: Wide Open Throttle.

if its the 6.2L with the electronic TB its ment so in case you hot the gas to WOT you have a second or two to let off before it kicks in. the electronic TB are so sensitive they need this feature in less agressive vehicles. In my GTO it was set quick and then we set it even quiker with the tune

Do you think the dealer can adjust the setting?

Re: Wide Open Throttle.

If you think this will lead to dangerous situations then, Yes take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.
