Yukon Denali

Just throwing this out there for all GMPT members to here what you have to say about this. I got an e-mail from a gentlemen in Abu Dhabi in the Middle East working on a hotel job. He just got a Yukon and Denali and wants to beef it up. What are your thoughts?

"I am based in Abu Dhabi in the Middle East and I just bought a Yukon Denali. Nice car, but I know that it can be better and it’s limited to 110 mph. It has a 6.2L L92 engine and they tell me it puts out 441 hp @ 6000 rpm and 615.5 Nm torque @ 4400 rpm. I am looking for a hand held tuner to see what can be done. Can you help???

Ps. There are no emission regulations (or any other for that matter) here.

HAVE A NICE CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Re: Yukon Denali

Well on mine ,albeit with the 6.0 L I put a twin screw Whipple on it and gained 40% in HP. That would put him @617.That would be the way to go IMO.

Not sure on the hand help tuners but my car sponsor can reflash his PCM. http://www.pcmperformance.com/

I would delete the cats ,put in three inch mids ,.catback(Gibson)CAI and headers( Bassani) ,MSD plug wires.

Those new motors have a lot of power, but there is still gonna be a lot of torque management because of the automatic transmission, there is a lot of power to gain with just a tune, and Jason, i know we've been talking about this, i would definitely be able to help this guy. I now have the capabilities to bench tune the E67 ECM/TCM, i normally tune the 99-07 classic trucks and suv's, but the new trucks are managed soooo much. Anyway, let me know. If he were to send me his ECM/TCM, i could do a wonder with that tune, it would be a whole new truck.
