Allright, selling this car because the engine asploded.

That being out of the way…

1996 Grand Am GT. Black. 3100, auto trans. Located in northwest Indiana, the person i make the deal with will receive the exact location for pickup.

$$$950 O.B.O.

The good:
Leather interior, which we all know is RARE for the 92-98 year model grand ams. Fold down rear seats. Sunroof. Clean interior. New tires, and I mean less then 100 miles on them. Kumho Ecsta ASX. Suspension seems pretty tight for the mileage. Trans shifted well. Air conditioning blew nice and cold. Has remote start, alarm, and a few other lights and gadgets the previous owner installed (strobes, underbody led kit, neons, etc etc.) . Tint is also in good condition, not faded to purple, although there is some bubbling on the back window where the little black dots are on the top (I don’t know wtf they are called…) Battery is brand new.

The Bad:
Some hail damage and noticeable dings. Not major but it is noticeable when you do a walk around.

Needs another engine.

Also, probably needs a new driver side tie rod. It is fairly solid and there’s no play in the steering but the grease boot is split around the tie rod, so to be safe…

that being said whoever buys it will have to come and tow it.

Extras:
I have a cold air intake for the 3100, some 6 ½ inch cheapy speakers, and the speaker mounts for the 6 ½ inch speakers I will throw in.

I just wish I could get that leather interior. Its the only difference between our GAs.

Nuh uh!! 96-98's too ? OMG... I wish I had the FACTORY 'TAN' leather- nice condition for my red GA. (I got a set of MINT aftermarket tan leather...actually "NICER" -but it's not the sport interior! ha

Hey Darkfox... Is the leather in your black GT actually "BLACK" or is it "GRAY" like the rest ? It really does look BLACK.

That's crazy- you can def see the diff in color between the actual leather seating surface and the charcoal grey vinyl.

That's CHARCOAL GRAY though, right? (just the way the pics look) ?

yes the leather is grey.

i hope he fixes it up. it was a nice car, kind of still pissed it blew up. that's my fault for trusting some 17 year old kid. i'll never do that again.

i assume he just beat the crap out of it. the interior door panels were shredded, i had to replace them with my old ones. the paint onthe outside was dry, scratched, crying for a good polish and wax. engine compartment was filthy. you could tell he just beat the crap out of it. i just had the impression from how well the engine ran and his parents saying that they made sure it got serviced that at least it was mechanically ok. guess not.
