just put in a new cd player, because i bought a the car with no cd player or harness on it.. so it is just the wires there... and i dont want to have to pay someone to do it.

Oh dude your asking for a guessing game and problems. Just go buy a harness to connect to the factory one. Go to the junk yard or something and cut one off. Same thing in a Cavalier/Grand Am 96-99, and Grand Prix 97-03. Some other cars too, but I cant guarantee them...

why is it so problimatic if i solder the harness from the cd player i bought..to factory wires.. it was just the the one end of the harness that would plug to the cd player gone.. it was just cut out.
just asking. also am i gonna need an antenna adapter for that plug?

Im just saying it would be easier to go find the connector. None of the colors are going to match. And if you get one wrong, you could blow some fuzes or something else.
Yes you will need an antenna adapter. Yours will work, but theres no way to hold it in there...

Metra 71-1858 is designed to repair a hacked harness, it'll plug into the stock radio and the colors match. This is a good option if you can't find the stock plug in the junkyard and may be the same price if you don't pocket the junkyard part. It's on eBay for around $14 shipped.
