that would be funny, if it indeed was a new cobra.

but i don't think it is.

look at the spoiler, and the wheels, and that god-aweful barely-breaking-15-second 1320' pass. looks like a vanilla gt to me, thats been lowered an inch or so. if that somehow IS actually a cobra, that driver is absolute shit. theres no reason it shouldn't run at least a full second faster, even if it is "just a ford."

sadlly...hes probly a better manual driver than me....i suck, and with a 5speed swap on the rise in the next couple of months...im screwed :p


i have to roll 20 feet down a hill before i can get it going again....and damn if i can EVER actually GET into third while trying to shift...

granted the only 5speed thign i ahve to drive, is a 94 ford ranger thats on its last leg (work truck at my work) so its not the BEST or EASIEST thing to drive....im hoping the clutch/shifter is easier to work in my 96 once its swapped over.....i know the 93 getrag was smooth and easy.

5 speed driving is not hard... took me only 2 or 3 days to be completely comfortable with it, and after a few races i was a lot more coordinated with working the clutch and throttle quickly, along with gear transitions.

so his 98 Z28 is faster than a brand new GTO?? cuz the mach 1 mustangs take those, let alone a cobra. 99-01 cobras yeah id say he beats um, but not 03-04

actually the LS1 fbodies hang pretty darn well with a GTO....and have won/lost so they are farily evenly matched....

magazine numbers arent shit....its what they do in REAL World....and around the southeast, from the vids/timelsips, and in real life....they are running no faster than ls1 fbodies....

im not going with the mags on this jordus, im going with what i have seen and i have yet to see a f-body stock for stock be right there with 1. now a Z06 on the other hand, ive seen win/loses but not an f-body. hell just friday my boy ran his 03 cobra against an 02 WS-6 and beat him by about 2 car lenghts. you may be right, but i personaly havent seen it
