Question Eeek! No Power!

I'm having stereo problems again... Imagine that.

I think it's something to do with the Cap, but I dunno. When the car is in the off position, there's the 12v (actually 10) going to the large relay on the cap, but when I turn it to accessory or on, I get zero volts... Nothing goes to the relay, or thru to the Amp, and therefore, it doesn't turn on, and I don't have a real stereo right now...

When I put an ohm-o-meter to the pos and neg of the Cap (with all the wires disconnected), it reads thru, but I don't think it's supposed to (if it's like a normal capacitor, that is). I hear that these alumapros are a LOT different than normal capacitors though...

I blew a (5W, 5 ohm) resistor that was on the larger of the 2 relays a couple weeks ago, and just got a replacement today.

Because there's only 10v going thru the pos. lead, I was thinking that the battery was a big piece of shit, which it is, and it lost all the power, so it couldn't turn anything on, but the car still starts, so I know that's not my probby.

I've checked all the wiring and the relays, and as far as I can tell, the relays are still good. I know the wiring is correct, because I haven't changed anything since it last worked. The grounds are good too, I went ahead and seperated the amp and cap's ground points like TWK suggested.

Um, thanks if you can help me... I'm going to call Pro Sound tomorrow morning, because they put these things in all the time...

Um, an update... I took out the cap, and everything runs fine... but the lights flash a little (not much at all, but a little, and that was with the car OFF). I think it's the cap that's whacked up. Next time I go to town, I'm going to get those boys at the shop to test it, just to make sure it's not me being stupid, before it gets sent (UNDER WARRANTY!!!).

After I hooked the amp up directly again, it didn't go, but I changed the fuse, and it cranked up again... The charge at the amp (red wire!) before replacing the fuse was 1 volt  The fuse also didn't look blown at all...

Anyways, it's working, but the cap isn't for right now... When I got it going without the cap (I changed the ground to use the one from the cap, because I'm an idiot, and that one's closer to the amp's neg. terminal...) I cranked it up, and it janktified the ground. This was AFTER I put the seats back in... Oh well, it works, all I had to do was take the seats out again, and "reseat" the ground, then/now it works again...
