how would you go about doing this?

i was sitting around, minding my own business, waiting on some friends. pop in a cd. nothing. cd player shuts off, clock resets, etc. i turn it back on, and the little CD icon isn't lit up. i hit the "cd/aux" button. nothing. it will usually at least go to the aux, but no, it has to be a pita this time.

so... how would you go about getting the cd out? i don't really want to just grab it with tweezers or anything, as it's one of my favorite cds!

resetting (pulling the neg battery) does nothing. well, resets the settings, but does nothing for getting the cd out. and there's no little "force eject" button, like for a pin to go into or anything...

I'd take the top off the head unit and take a look at the mechanism inside... try and see how it WOULD eject if it could and force it to do that by moving the gears, etc if you dont care what happens to the deck.

a) it's a pain to get out (i have to pull out the whole dash since i don't have the keys)
b) i don't want to or have the money to buy a new deck... (so i don't really want to endanger basic operation of the unit... at least i have the radio now...)

in my experiance its gone, we take the deck out and destroy it taking a cd out of it, we have like 5 or so people a day come in for that.

well... i had some time to burn this morning... so i went ahead and pulled the head unit out. there's apparently a reset button on the back of it (now that's a stupid place for it, right?)

but i pushed it, plugged it back in, and it works find now... hoorah.
