I installed the h/u today. It sound really sweet and definatly blows away the x-plod in the GA. I also hardwired the valentine1 and ran the remote and rca cables to the trunk so that I can hook up my subbys. Hopefully I can get the system hooked up and give the car a nice wash/vaccume before the weekend rolls out.

I'm thinking about eventually upgrading to a black carbon fiber dash and getting a better looking mounting bracket for the h/u. One that lights up and says Grand Prix as seen here

Thanks! Last night I ran the power cable through the firewall and back to the trunk. I just have to do a few connections and I should be set.

Thanks. I only paid $320 for it after shipping. I think this model goes for around $450 at Circuit City so I wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't find it that cheap.

I finnished putting in my old school rockford system today so I'm good 2 go. I went with the old heavy box that my friend had built for him (still nice and solid). The box I made is lighter, but doesn't have anywhere to mount the amp and I didn't want to start custom fabbing some more crap. The speakers are a little beat up looking, but they still have thier punch and this is the 3rd car this rockford system has been in.

I have a shorter/lighter box that I was working on building, but haven't had time to finish it. It doesn't really bother me, it's not like I'm going to have my trunk open all the time, I'm more concerned about the sound anyway.
