scratching sounds when subs turned on...

Hey guys,

I have a couple MTX subs hooked into my factory deck. The subs are connected to the rear channel wires using a box that converts everything to an RCA connection that plugs into the amp. Anyways, I did this so that I can turn off my subs by fading the sound to the front speakers.

Recently, everytime I turn on the rear speakers, which turns on my subs, I'm getting a loud scratching sound coming out of all the speakers. I took out the deck this morning and none of the wires I connected behind the deck are uncovered/touching eachother. What could it be??? What usually causes this???

PROBLEM SOLVED....I found an exposed wire, and it was probably touching the metal frame of the car :)
