Sound system

I am going to be installing a new sound system in my car as soon as i get back to the states. I have the equipment for it but would like any ideas or comments on how im going to do it. I will be putting a Kenwood bandpass box in the trunk of the car. There are 2 10 in. subs in the box. Pushing that will be a 2000 watt amp. I want to upgrade the door and back dash speakers. Here is where things get tricky. I have a second amp that i would like to run the rest of the speakers in the car but I fear that I will not have the power in the car to run all of this. What should I do????

hey i just put my new sound system in this weekend the 10" subs should sound decent i put 2 12" mtx 4500 subs with a pheonix gold amp and i made a ported box myself it sounds awsome then for speakers i put the new pioneer d-series premier speakers they are the best pioneer have to offer and they are crystal clear (but expensive) and a pioneer 7800 deck if you have the subs aready i really recommend the pioneer speakers and deck you can get them at circuit city or on ebay for a LOT cheaper

i wouldnt fret unless you drive an 85 chevy celebrity (shit ass alternator...long story) However...I ran 2 15s in my grand am with a 700rms and 300+rms output on a stock alternator, so i wouldnt get too worried, but yes, a good battery maybe a larger alternator or at least a newer one, good wiring you shouldnt have a problem unless you run your shit full blast everytime you turn the car on like a lot of ppl around here...a cap or 2nd battery are other options to consider depending on your setup

Re: Sound system

honestly your putting way to much wattage to those subs...but your stock charging system should be fine
