the story of speaker replacement
so i just bought some components. my friend has a pair of elemental design subs, the 13Kv.2 subs i think. and has been quite pleased with them... so... these components, to be more precise, are what i bought! i'm still in search of an amp, i'll probably buy used since i wasted so damn much money on these comps :p i found a guy selling a US Acoustics usx-2080 amp, rated 80x2@4 ohms rms. i've read a few reviews about it, very few saying negative things, and it sounds like the negative reviews were powering subs. same with about any elemental design equipment, everyone using them gives them uber-praise. so for install... it'll probably be something simple and quick, a cut piece of plywood behind the door panel, as per my last door install, more than likely! but if anyone has any (fairly simple (read: no glassing)) suggestions, i'd be more than happy to consider them. alternate/better locations for the tweeters maybe? *hint hint*

If you don't feel like making adapters, this guys sells them for an extremely low price.
http://www.mjmautoinnovations.com/ They also sell them on ebay for a bit cheaper. |
