3100 chevy engine - GM Performance Tuning

i want to know if they make performance headers for the 3100 for my car. and i have seen people asking if the 3400 pontiac headers would be a perfect fit are they?

I've seen pictures of the 99+ 3400 Grand Am headers on 97+ 3100 Malibus, they definaly fit.
TOG and at least one other company makes, someone should be able to provide a link to where you can get them.

Mizy is developing some right now for the 3400 community, no idea when he will be done though.

i dont feel like paying $600 for a rsm racing 62mm throttle body. i heard the 3800 throttle will fit and is alot bigger and its a perfect fit but i want to know for sure if its true

The 3400 TB fits the 3100 and its like 2 mm bigger than the 3100 TB. Plus its really cheap and easy to find. Just swap linkages.

perhaps you've discussed this before, but since im new, ill ask... why not just 3400 swap it?

The 00+ 3100 Malibu's are rated at 170hp, same as the 99-05 3400's (non-GAGT). Same Top end, same TB.
The real restricion in these engines is the log style exhaust manifold they use. Replacing it with some headers is one of the best performance things you can do to the 3x00 engines.

The 3800 TB does not fit the 3x00 engines.
