3800 engine swap with a 3800 supercharged

just wondering if it's possible to switch the 3800 engine out of my 88 oldsmobile 98 touring edition with a 3800 supercharged (L67)

Yes you can eventhough your old 3800 is far different from the L67. It shouldn't be that difficult of a swap, but you might want to upgrade to the 4t65e-HD tranny found in the L67/3800 sc cars, especially if your plan on modding it. Check out www.l67swap.com, they might have some information for you.

Switching to a manual is an entire new ballpark. But I know there was a guy with a Caviler that did it on j-bod.org .

The 3.8L engines never came with a 5speed stock, so its a little harder to the the computer to "play nice"
