LT1 Problems, Need Help
Hey everyone,
As a new member to this dicussion forum I am hoping you guys can help me. I have a 1994 Firebird formula with an LT1 in it. My problem is that the engine will not run!! The car has 120k miles on it, the opti-spark was replace at around 65k miles and ran fine until now. The engine began to get harder and harder to start until it finally died. I went ahead and replace the fuel pump and fuel filter. Neither of these two items did anything, the engine still will not start. I have checked for spark and it has spark!! When I crank the engine it has no will to start, as soon as I let off the starter, the engine coughs a few times then dies. If any of you guys have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank You!! lilbowtie

sounds like bad/clogged/faulty injiectors, maybe fouled plugs or really bad gasoline? Try disconnecting the pcm from the battery and letting everything reset itself
then head to ls1tech.com im sure they can help you a little better than we can, theres alot more LT1's over on that site...lol
