LT1 Problems, Need Help

Hey everyone,

As a new member to this dicussion forum I am hoping you guys can help me. I have a 1994 Firebird formula with an LT1 in it. My problem is that the engine will not run!! The car has 120k miles on it, the opti-spark was replace at around 65k miles and ran fine until now. The engine began to get harder and harder to start until it finally died. I went ahead and replace the fuel pump and fuel filter. Neither of these two items did anything, the engine still will not start. I have checked for spark and it has spark!! When I crank the engine it has no will to start, as soon as I let off the starter, the engine coughs a few times then dies. If any of you guys have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate your help.

sounds like bad/clogged/faulty injiectors, maybe fouled plugs or really bad gasoline? Try disconnecting the pcm from the battery and letting everything reset itself

im sure they can help you a little better than we can, theres alot more LT1's over on that site...lol
