need some 3.1 advice

I just bought a 93 Cav RS for with a 3.1 and a 5 speed. This is actually the first v6 i've owned as everything i've had before has been an 8 sluger (with one exception of an pile of a 2.8 camaro). I would like to build up a little more useable power, though I must say I'm pretty impressed with the snappyness of the car itself. Im just wondering if anyone had any advice on where to start with a budget in mind. I'm having a new clutch and flywheel put in this week. After that I am considering a less restrictive intake and a higher flow throttlebody. What are some of the more reputable v6 parts manufacturers? Any ideas on where to go next with this? I'm not afraid of any engine or chassis work, but i try to keep out of the tranny, with this in mind I plan on doing all the work myself. Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

keep the 3.1, cam choices are much better/cheaper/readily available. Then turn it into a 3x00 hybrid. There is plenty of info on 60v6.

their is lots you can do to it! I ported a set of heads for my friends 91 sunbird 3.1 auto. stock they run 16.5's with an auto then with the heads it ran a 15.8! next we opened up the intake and installed a 62mm tb to take advantage of the heads and got the car down to a 15.36 and that was running through the stock 2"exhaust! but if your up for an engine swap you can swap in a 3400 and run high 14's/low 15's in the 1/4 all day! if your intrested in the 3400 swap check out www.domesticcrew.com
