Established in 1953, Crane Cams is recognized for high quality, precision products that are race-proven to withstand the rigors of competition. Product applications include automotive, motorcycle, marine, aircraft and other specialty markets. Crane Cams closed unexpectedly in late February and later announced that it planned to restructure and reopen later this spring. That is apparently no longer the case. No information on transition plans for the company’s 280 employees has been provided. LiquiTec is accepting bids now for Crane Cams’ inventory, trademarks and patents. An auction sale of all remaining inventory and machinery will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at the company’s former headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida. The sale will also be broadcast over the Internet via BidSpotter.com. The sale includes all machinery; all raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods including more than $2 million of high performance and racing application engine components including camshafts, rocker arms, lifters and other parts for most GM, Ford and Mopar engines; 16 trademarks and three patents. For more information or to register to attend the sale, contact LiquiTec at (800) 852-9252. The sale will be conducted by David Gronik, Florida Auctioneer License #AU3852. Sad news!

Re: No more rumors! It's official Crane cams is done!
UPDATE: Crane Cams' Auction Company Says Sale Not Done
April 1, 2009 By aftermarketNews staff DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- LiquiTec Industries Inc., which has been engaged to liquidate the assets of Crane Cams Inc. of Daytona Beach, Fla., one of the largest manufacturers of camshafts and valve train components for the performance industry, says that the deal to sell the company to Scorpion Performance is in serious negotiations but is not a done deal. Scorpion Performance recently stepped forward as a buyer for the company, and had even held a job fair in Crane's parking lot for most of their employees, but LiquiTec says that efforts to sell the company are still progressing and not yet a done deal. A spokesman for LiquiTec confirmed that it is in serious negotiations with Scorpion, however, there are other interested parties at this date. The LiquiTec spokesman says the sale of Crane Cams is progressing along and there is much due diligence taking place before a sale can be announced. Crane Cams closed unexpectedly in late February and later announced that it planned to restructure and reopen later this spring, which were unsuccessful. An auction sale of all remaining inventory and machinery is set for Wednesday, April 22, at the company’s former headquarters in Daytona Beach, Fla., should a deal to sell the company as a unit not be reached by this time. ---------------------------------------------------------------- On a note: True BS BuZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! One of the Buyers is the same private investors from North Carolina, Who also purchased Lunati from Holley, One of the Major holders is Ray Everham (Same "scuttle butt" that became "true" before) Also another company, COMP Performance Group that owns several performance business's and a Comp cams wants to buy the company for it's casting & electronics business. And dissolve the name. Removing a competitor. Scorpion thats been making all the noise is having trouble with getting financing. Some say job hunt was nothing more than smoke and mirrors to prove to they can get the company back and up running in a short time to the needed lenders operation capital worries. Some accuse them of nothing more than grand standing to enhance there personal company. Reach out and grab the Crane customer base. AL
