Valve Springs
|

|
There are no aftermarket valve springs specifically for the 3400. With a few more pieces you can get the springs from the LS1/2/6 V8's to fit. I'd recommend the LS1's since they're only slightly stiffer than your stock ones but still be enough to prevent valve float in the high rpm range. If you plan on running boost and/or an aggressive cam then the LS2/6's will be the way to go. Going with springs that are too stiff can cost you power and cause more valvetrain wear.
There's several topics on this at: http://60degreev6.com/discussion/index.php Just run a quick search for "LS1 Valve spring 3400".

I don't know of anyone who's purchased anything from sheerspeed. And it's hard to trust a company that has word and excel documents as descriptions. It doesn't help that they host there website on a free server with popup adds.
Mantapart has also not been the best of companys, but at least we know there products exist (after a long wait). Azrael's suggestion is by far the best. Here's the link :D http://60degreev6.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=3438 |

The only association that I have had with Mantapart is browsing :P I've never really had the money to do any of the actual upgrades to any of my cars that I have wanted to do. I always seem to get hung up in playing around with other things that take all of my money... |
