I just recently test fitted a cone filter onto my Impala 3.4, and I noticed a couple of electrical connections from the main harness inside the factory airbox. anybody know what these connections are for, if they can be relocated and to where?

On of them is probly a Air Intake Temp sensor (my grand am had one).

This sensor needed to be inside the flow of air in order to work, otherwise you might get a CEL.

One may be the speed density sensor too. Unless your car has Mass Air

If I remeber the engine bay of my Buddys 05 Impala 3.4 correctly he does have a MAF.

its not in the air flow. its at the bottom of the box just chillin there. the IAT sensor is up towards the throttle body

it's a waste of money. basically it works on the same theory as a placebo. when you put the tornado in you assume you will get better mileage and so your driving tendencies change, you become a tad less likely to floor it all the way, and then you notice that your mileage is better.

there was a good writeup on this awhile back, i could search for the url if you want.

neither.....If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. TB spacer may give you 1 hp.

lol. i could use all the hp i can get... 3400 SFI has 180/200 factory

turns out its the PCM, and to build a smaller, replacement box out of plexiglass so the intake would fit
