hmm, i heard that the basemodel cobalt is "clunky" for lack of a better term, how's the ss? did you get a chance to compare the two or did you only test out the ss?

When you mean clunky do mean so as crap? Cause yes the base 2.2 and the SS 2.4 engines are slower than crap. The only way the Ecotec engines are quick is with the 2.0 Supercharger or Turbo Ecotec engines.

I think they mentioned something along the lines of the shifting not being smooth, and the interior basically being crap. Can't remember if handling was mentioned.

my friend has a 2005 cobalt base coupe. i don't notice any clunking or anything, but i don't drive/ride it everyday. that little piece around the button for the "astro roof" has fallen off, i know.
it's also an auto.

looks good. im guessing that is an SS/SC. But cant you get that body work on a normal SS? Or could you get a SS/SC in the normal body work? b/c that wing is probably the only thing i dont like about the SS's ive seen, wonder if there is a spoiler delete, or if you could get one with the base type spoiler that comes on the other coblats.

Shifting is decent, not the greatest in the world. I know have problems hitting 3rd at the track. There is a lot of wheel hop in 1st gear. Interior is good, some minor things i would change like the paint used on the gray dash, rubs off pretty easy. Handling is awesome.

Yah it Supercharged. The non SC SS has everything but the spoiler, front and rear body extensions. My friend put on a base spoiler on his SC SS, looks awesome.
