quadswap
That's just just scary and a great sleeper.

The clean swap alone earns a push to the top of the GMPT list, nicely done.

Darth let me get your set-up strait. You have a motor out of an Bon. SSEI then and you changed the intake right? It looks allot like a GN 231 motor with that heat shield. Did you ever consider a set of heads off a TTA or a GNX I heard they are slightly narrower (for clearance) and would make a killer upgrade one day.

Not exactly. The engine is 3800 Series II out of a 1997 Bonneville. The heads are 1997 models off of a naturally asperated 3800 Series II L36. (Supercharged Series II heads have injector holes in them). I then used the intake off of an F-body L36 because it was all-aluminum and short runner design. There are turbo kits out there for L67 (Supercharged 3800 Series II) engines that have people remove all the guts from their SC but leave it installed to use as the upper plenum. Problem with this is that huge open box does nothing for airflow.

So essentially, nothing on this engine is 231 Buick V6 except the turbo and it's heat sheild. Everything else is 3800 Series II which is about 10 years newer and a totally different (and better) design.
