07 Grand Prix GT Needs more power.

I just purchased my 07 Grand Prix GT which you already know is a 3.8 supercharged V6. 260 HP is not a bad place to start with. I was wondering what it would take to get maybe 300+ a pinch. This is my first supercharged engine and I've always had GM V8 small blocks. LS-1, LT-1 and further back to the dubbled hump heads days. Any suggestions on where to start would be great.

Your GT has a S/c? I thought only the GTPs had S?cs on 'em. Anyway try some places like:
W-body Store
INTENSE Racing
ZZPerformance

I'm not sure about year models exactly but those sites have a LOT of parts for the previous gen of GP and the powerplants are almost exactly the same.... Almost.

A tune and smaller pulley is a good place to start.

+ headers, downpipe and exhaust. Should do the trick.

Re: 07 Grand Prix GT Needs more power.

in 2006 and 2007 The three options are the Grand Prix, powered by the 3800 Series III V6, the GT, now powered by the 3800 Series III Supercharged V6, and the GXP, powered by the LS4 V8. The GTP designation (and with it the Comp-G) was dropped but back to the Point I have a Super Charged 3800 Series II there is tons of mods that can be gone with these engines it's best to start off with a smaller charger pulley and an exhaust system here are some 3800 performance sites Intense-Racing.com, LMPerformance.com Thrashercharged.com and 3800performance.com

Re: 07 Grand Prix GT Needs more power.

A scan tool should be your first purchase...something that can read KR.

Exhaust mods including headers or PEMS, a 3" downpipe, and a custom tune. Then slap on a 3.4" pulley, and you will be at 300hp easy.

Next step up is a set of 1.9 rockers, an intercooler and a 3.0" pulley...then you are easily around 380hp.

Check out some sites where the guys are very familiar with modding these things...
