3.1, wats out there for em? will a newer manifold fit?

i got a 95 regal custom with the 3.1. i heard that the newer years like a 2000 with the 3100's had the same size intake manifolds as the 3400's. so i got the lower and upper intakes from a 2000 3100 to throw on mine. i was told they will bolt up but im scared to pull it apart and not have it fit. will they fit? is some intake gaskets all im gonna need?
since the newer 3100's have some of the same parts as the 3400's, is there anything else off a newer 3.1 that will fit on mine and is worth havin on my engine? i think my year just missed the computer tuning they have out for them too. i think they start at 1996.

They will fit but the 2000 up 3100 and all 3400 heads have larger valves and flow more air. As for gaskets plan on getting a gasket set may be cheaper getting them seperate instead of a kit since you will be getting only what you need. Go to Pushrod Performance - 60DegreeV6.com you can find anything you need to know. Seems like there may be a water fitting that is a little different on the lim.

hey thnx for the reply. Im definately looking into installing the newer intake manifolds and they look like they will swith right over 'cept for that coolant fitting. I'm thinking about tappin the new intake 3/4" for my screw in fitting like that guy said. I just hope that 3/4 is the right size.

It's a 1/2 NPT on the side of the coolant neck. Just buy a tap and hand thread it, making sure to use plenty of oil.
