I can't say how much difference just doing that would make. I just replaced an axle, a wheel bearing, descreened the MAF, removed the throttle baffle, replaced upper and lower im gaskets, smoothed out the im itself, new dizzy cap and rotor all at once and it runs great...most of that stuff I did while I was replacing gaskets since I already had it apart.

Is the intended purpose of the MAF screen to prevent any 'large' object from hitting the filament? Does removing this really allow more air to flow past? Getting ready to rework my TB and install a spacer so thought I might perform this mod as well if it really helps.
