97 3.1 engine part ID

took this out of an gagt 3.1 while changing all the gaskets, now cant remember where it oges or even what its for, does anyone have an engine diagram or pics of this piece????

It's kinda hard to tell by the pictures. Maybe a belt shield?

Go over to your batterey area and look under the hood, and see if there are holes that line up with your part. I still really cannot tell, but I think there is a brace over in that area, that is pretty usless.
