engine cranks but wont turn over
I am new here but cant find answers anywhere! I have an 1983 GMC s15 high Sierra 4x4 with the 2.8 v6 I do know its outta time and dunno wat to do to get it firing up! Can someone please help! I am getting spark and fuel!

if its out of time you have to fix that first, you will have next to no compression if any at all. if its sohc or dohc check the timing belt it may have gotten old and loose and skipped a few notches. if its cam in the block (pushrod) you can open up the timing cover and reset the crankcase with a breaker bar after taking the chain off. Hope this helps.

I don't know anything about the problem, but gmc_man has a pushrod 60degreev6 2.8L :)
