engine swap in alero

Wondering if anyone can tell me if it would be at all possible to switch out the 3400 currently in my alero for a gm lx5 engine, and if it is what kind of work it would take.

Re: engine swap in alero

you dont need to tune if he has the PCM with the engine he's swapping. The wiring harness can be spliced or one from the donor car can be used, also check out L67swap.com they might have some more insight that might help you

Re: engine swap in alero

There would be a lot of time and money that would go in to this swap. Not to mention custom peaces. (engine mounts, axles, Ect.)

I don't really think it would be worth it to only get 210hp. It would be much faster/easier/cheaper to get a set of headers for your car for the same result.
