how to remove FWD engine.

I decided to save this 200 Grand Am 3400 engine and get rid of the rest. I'm plenty handy with my shop tools, but never even saw a FWD engine removed. hows it done in a driveway with no lift? thanx , crossy

Re: how to remove FWD engine.

You might want to check out Harbor Freight or borrow an engine lift from someone. Harbor Freight Tools
Sometimes local auto part stores have them for rent.

The 3400 has a Cast Iron block. It's heavy and bulky (300+lbs). So It'll be next to impossible to get out by hand (over the radiator).

Maybe you could drop it on to a dolly then lift/push the chassie away?

What are your plans for the engine? Going to put it in another Grand Am or some sort of Project?
