LT1 eating V6?
If that's not enough, then a 3.1/3400 twin turbo hybrid is going in it's place. already have the Areomotive A1000 fuel pump, one to4e turbo, and Tial wastegate. Just missed a set of 140# injectors for $220 :(.
The idea is to make a record for a 60*v6 F-body :D

Re: LT1 eating V6?
Enlarge the holes a little on the P/S bracket...
A/C bracket needs one new hole...
The neighbor at the shop re-builds alts and starters, and I asked him today if he has any GM alts layning around. He said yes, but if yours works, I'll rebuild it for free, and it will look "pretty". Let's see what kind of job he does, neighboly love for ya, lol.

Re: LT1 eating V6?
Is that an aluminum block? How high will it rev when completed?
What car will it go in to?
I see the 3500 intake manifold, but what engine is it?
Looks awesome.

Re: LT1 eating V6?
Thanks :D
The car...
It's an iron 3.4 block painted silver from a 1995 Camaro. The 8cc pistons were kept, and the top end is from a 2004 Malibu 3500 with 32.4cc chambers. This gives me an 11.5:1SCR. The heads were ported on the short side, valves were unshrouded, modified and polished fast burn heart shaped chambers, with the stock size canted valves. The springs were swaped out for yellow LS6 spring allowing me a .525" safe lift (.562" to coil bind), and they are seated on LS1 hardened seats. The entire runner length has a mirror finish, and the plenum openeings were opened up. Unsure if I'm going to use a 65mm TB like in the pic, or 70mm spare I have.
All the crank main/rod bearings are Clevite77, Sealed Power cam bearings, Mellings oil pump, and the headers are going to be 1 3/4" primaries, hoping for about 30".
7200rpm redline.
Tuning for now is going to be OBD1, but I have a MegaSquirt with a 4bar MAP O.O
that will be going in after a new turbo kit is made I have fun toying with cars. I have a CNC and fabrication shop here in FL, and have made a few cars go pretty fast with the 60 degree engine :D
Here's the last turbo kit I built. The guy drove down here for 2 nights, and he drove it the 4hr trip home shortly after the test drive. We started on a Thurs at 11am and worked until 2am Fri. Then went back at it about 9am Fri morning, and worked on it all day/night and made thiese test runs just after the sun came up, lol...
That was a 3/4 throttle because he was afraid the tired transmission was going to give up the ghost, and it did the next day (I'm sure the long drive home in a newly-boosted car made it hard to stay off the gas). He since put another tranny in it with 30k miles on it and it only lasted a couple of weeks (broke 3rd gear right after the install). This was at a mere 6psi!

Re: LT1 eating V6?
Cose up of the mounting holes moved...
Some new problems arised, though. Now the TB isn't going to work, it's on up-side down in the pics because the black alt bracket and alt is in the way. I may have to swing the alt down a little and fabricate a replacement (for the small black bracket), re-configure the TB, or use another TB. The alt bracket has two bolts and only two contacts on the head, this could be unstable at high RPM's, so need to figure out something to make to hold the bottom bolt hole to the lower boss on the front of the pass side head.
The A/C bracket, I feel comfortable with. It has two bolts to hold it, with opposing contacts on the head for stability, but the new bolt hole is through some thin cast aluminum and I don't want it to break. To remedy this, I plan on using a steel sleeve over the bolt behind the bracket - so it gets "sandwiched" between the bracket and head when torqued down.

Wait, so I missed this before.
How are you going to run 11.5:1 CR, and A turbo? Will that even work with pump gas without knocking?

I believe so. I know a Mustang that's running 11:1, 10psi, 93 octane -- and iron heads.

Re: LT1 eating V6?
Thanks :D
Changed up the brackets a little and decided to use the stockers...
Just waiting for funds to buy the header materials, going with long headers and true duals. Also have to clean up the A/C and P/S brackets, then clean/paint the engine bay :D
