Re: Mantapart Performance
Mantapart generally has a very bad rep among our web communities for accepting payments and not delivering parts, among other issues. they've also had action taken against them by the BBB due to excessive complaint filings.
However, there are some people who have spoken up with good things to say about the place. If you ask me, if you have to have something from there, make sure you pay COD! |

Re: Mantapart Performance
I purchased something from them way back when for my Pontiac and didn't have issues. But, who knows, maybe I was a lucky one.

Re: Mantapart Performance
Hey Jamz,
How are ya? You seem to be quite the GURU with the G/A with the Supercharged 3800 and all, Damn that thing has gotta run like a raped ape. Any suggestions for me, 1996 G/A GT, daily driver, wanna add some life to the motor slow and cheaply at first then maybe bigger and more expensive later. First thing, I saw a picture of a guys G/A on another site where he had cobbled up a cold air intake that ran into the 3 inch hole in the driver side fender that is normally plugged by the stock intake. It seemed to be made of chrome tubing with the MAF still in place, but the air filter was underneath the fender gobbling up all sorts of cold air, Question is what do ya think about that type of setup other than it being a pain to get to the filet and clean it out and do ya think that Spectre makes that same tubing that can fit in there behind the battery? Or do you know another company that might have the parts? Plus what do you know about Milzy Motorsports? I had e-mailed the guy and he replied that same day and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders he came off to be rather intelligent and like he knew a lot. Plus I was impressed with all the things he had to offer for the 3100. |

Re: Mantapart Performance
Hello Black Label,
Yes, we did the 3800 engine swap on my 93 Grand AM about 2 years ago. Jeff at Engineered Performance (www.engineered.net) did the work. It runs strong and def. packs a punch! As for the CAI .. I've seen just about every setup. What you are describing seems functional, but seems like it would be a hard install, especially with the custom fender mod. On my car now, I am not running a CAI setup. I don't know much about Milzy Motorsports, however, I have heard the name. I would do a small order with any smaller company to see how things go. Build a relationship with them and if you are pleased, order more stuff.

Re: Mantapart Performance
MMS (Milzy Motor Sports), http://www.60degreev6.com/store/ and http://www.mpracing.org/store/ are great places to check out and have a great rep with most 3100/3400 owners. I'll vouch for them.
