Replacing a 3400 with a 3.9

Wondering if anyone has swapped a 3.9 in an N Body. I can get a low mileage 3.9 out of an 06 Impala (242HP) pretty cheap. They're both 60* V6's, so I would assume it would be a fairly straight forward swap and one of the easiest way to pick up 70+ HP. I've been wrong before, though...
