If you change out to an LS1 style or compatible your Air Flow is gonna be different and your calibrations in your pcm are going to need changes. If it's just a dd truck, then get another stock intake manifold. If it's a performance truck, then check out the FAST intake setup, check out Speed Engineering for that.

Oh BTW, if you swap out to a better flowing intake manifold you will not take full advantage of it unless you are forced induction.

the intakes are interchangable. the truck manifold actually outflows the ls6 style manifold it just wont fit under the cowl of the fbody. the fast intakes look great but are expensive and unless your building a high hp application you wont really see that much benefit over the stock. is your intake leaking vacuum? these are bad for intake gasket failures when there cold and have a updated gasket.
