2.4L ld9 1996 Q's
It stutters and whatnot when you first start it up, but only if you put it in gear. It'll miss and sound like it's clogged, then it'll knock out of it after you give it some gas and be fine. Only when it's cold it does this. Check Oil light comes on when cold. But if you shut off car, and turn back on, it's gone. ?? Performance: What can I do? I put AC Delco plugs in it. No cold air intake . What else can I do. Is it possible to supercharge these models or just the 00-02? |

Re: 2.4L ld9 1996 Q's
sounds like your ignition is taking a poo. new coils + new ignition module + new plug boots should solve your problem.
you can supercharge it. have fun tuning it, however.

Re: 2.4L ld9 1996 Q's
Your check oil light is the sensor at the bottom of the oil pan is dirty thats what causes he light to come on at first then go off after you restart. It should do the same thing if you just turn the key on for 3 secs then off for 3 secs then start engine and light will go out. The only fix is to drop pan and replace the sensor. Altho it will not hurt the motor as long as you have oil pressure once car is started.
