95 grand am

Has anyone out there ever swapped in a 2.0 supercharged engine in something other than Cobalt or Ion. If not, does anyone know what automatic tranny will bolt on to the 2.0. I have a 95 grand am 2.3L with a 4t60e and want to swap in a 2.0

Re: 95 grand am

it would be easier to swap in a 2.4 with a s/c. you wouldn't have to swap transmissions and would be able to use most of your current sensors. all youwould have to swap is the engine, ecm, and wire harness.

Re: 95 grand am

I haven't seen anyone do that. I wonder if anyone on J-body.org has swapped an Ecotec in place of there 2.3 or 2.4?
A 3400 might be easier.

That might prove to be quite a challenge, but it can be done (with enough time, money, and resources). Why would you want to put an auto behind the 2.0 S/C though? If you're doing an engine swap like that you might as well put the 5-speed behind it.
Or you could just swap in an earlier HO Quad 4, or build an LO Quad for forced induction (straight bolt-in).

Re: 95 grand am

I dont really wanna swap trannys unless I really need to. Just wanna get rid of that LO QUAD 4. I wanna get to about 200HP, I might even go with the 3800. The HO QUAD or the W41 are very hard to find in good condition.
