ECOTEC Swap Blazer ZR2
Does anyone forsee any major issues with this this idea? Better fuel economy and more hp when I need it.... I already have a spare ECOTEC with Computer.... Most likely will need some harness tweaking, custom motor mounts, not sure if the trans will bolt up, etc.... |

Lots of time spending trying to mount it in longatudinal instead of the way it came. and the eco shares a unique bell housing one that is only shared with other eco's so you would have to get a adaptor plate made for it from a v8/4.3 to a eco. cause the 4.3 shares the same bell housing as a v8. thats why so many guys just put v8 in them. The 4.3 is really a v8 with 2 cyl's cut off of it. and from a 6 down to 4 i don't see it being to peppy inless you add a turbo or lots of money in the 4 to get the kinda hp's and tq's out of it as the 4.3. if i was you rebuild the 4.3 and slap a turbo on it there are tons of kits for them and have lots of power and torque |
