BlackJack - Almost finished....

it's been awhile since the last photo update on the project, so I'll post the latest progress.

Sponsor has finished up the headers/crossover/downpipe for me on his mock-up engine and they should be here by Monday. All that's left to have it rolling is drill the drain line into the oil pan, weld in the wastegate flange, and coat/wrap the headers/downpipe with a little heat shielding in strategic locations. Then the painful tuning process. Wish me luck :)

alright..got the stuff in finally, just some minor adjustments for fitment, and we're on the money....

1) had to push the A/C line (coming out of the compressor) forwards toward the radiator a tad to get it away from the #2 head pipe.
2) will have to cut the corner out of the heater hose hardline and route it over the top of the thermostat housing
3) oil dipstick had to be moved outward a little for the flange.

4) need to remove the transmission filler cap and replace with a smaller brass plug because the crossover actually touches it. Small thing to deal with considering the benefit.
5) relocate the transmission shift cable bracket.
6) extend the O2 sensor wiring.

Re: BlackJack - Almost finished....

LOL....that was back in 2006. Since then I've redesigned the entire turbo setup, and completed a 4t65HD swap (using the retuned factory PCM). Thanks for the props though :)

Re: BlackJack - Almost finished....

An update is going to be a bit hard to publish right at the moment. I'm in Tikrit Iraq and I have access to neither my car, nor my photos :(

It's all good. I'll be home soon, and will be having fun again !!
