BlackJack - Turbo Install Complete!!
ok, I have a few more issues to work out with some things, but for general purposes, I'm fully operational. I'm not happy with the way I currently have the coolant line running from the thermostat housing, but I should have that fixed this weekend.
So, open 3" exhaust to where the muffler will be later, and atmospheric dump wastegate. I got antsy and decided to make some tuning runs. I got the fueling dialed in at idle, cruise and part throttle....all good. WOT is going to be tricky.
Kicking off at a very mild 4psi for starters, and scanning particularly for O2 and KR readings, I'm hitting boost at around 3500 RPM's, and rolled into WOT while rising to the target psi it pulled very nicely. I still have some KR to work out.
I can't begin to express the excitement I'm feeling right now.....all this time that I've waited, and I'm finally getting some results. The way it pulls at 4psi, I can only imagine what it will feel like at 12+

The setup is largely designed and shipped by my sponsor, DonkeyPunchPerformance. Minor details such as assembly, fueling, and tuning are done by me.
I gotta give alot of credit for the design. My headers and downpipe were designed by DPP with me sending in the measurements that DPP requested, and then they were made and shipped for a perfect fit on the headers, only a minor adjustment was needed for the downpipe. I'd call that freakin magic.

Update with a "kill list" at around 6psi:
* note - I left out all the rediculous attempts by the rice kids and only printed the ones I thought were noteworthy.
(yr unknown) Mazda RX8, moderately modded.
2005 Mustang GT, lightly modded
Late model Pontiac GTO, (the smaller engine) lightly modded
and the one that surprised me, Suzuki GS500F (yeah I know, it's not exactly a Hayabusa)

Is that a 70 trim turbo? Wow. I'm used to 4 cylinders I guess. 40-60 trims are what I'm used to seeing. Bad ass man. Props.

yeah, it's a "Super 70". A little slow off the line, but more than makes up for it right as it's cutting through the 60'

Nice setup. Looking to add wind to my Monte over the winter. Also, thanks for the words in the new member's area, BlackJack. Ever dealt with or heard anything good about the Car Tuning turbo? That seems to be the only complete kit available for the 3800 Series II. That is what I am thinking of going with.

on the 3800, I haven't heard specifics on other brand turbo setups. Most of my information on the 3800 comes from www.zzperformance.com and www.stattama.com
personally, I would go with one of those two setups, it's not cheap, nor is it cheaply made. They just pulled 9.01 in the 1/4 mile at just over 154mph. BTW, zzperformance and stattama each distribute the other's products, and their 9.01 car is a stattama built with high amount of zzp assistance.
Intense racing has a turbo'd 3800 setup, but for some reason, I keep hearing that they're breaking shit. Dont know what to tell you.
I would say that there's alot of good information (along with some bad) over at www.mymonte.com and I'm sure someone there has heard of the kit you mentioned and can offer opinion on it.

Thanks. Already knew about those two. Have been trying to find alternatives for the Car Tuning setup, but not much available.
