GMC to add minivan by 2009

For some, it might beg the question, "you're joking, right?" But according to Edmunds' Inside Line, General Motors is planning to roll out a minivan for the 2009 model year and, well, nobody's laughing. The Lambda-based sibling of the next-generation Chevrolet Uplander seeks to fill the gap between the young, affluent couples and empty nesters the GMC Acadia is expected to appeal to -- namely families. As it hits the market, GM will take the Saturn Relay, Pontiac Montana and Buick Terraza off the lots, leaving the truck manufacturer as the only brand in the GMC-Pontiac-Buick triumvirate with a minivan.
No word yet on when the HUMMER-badged Uplander will hit the streets.

Good! GM needs a good minivan in the US market. Pontiac and Buick should stick to cars.

Even though Chevrolet will likly get a clone of this new one.

I was doing a search for something else, and found this.

This didn't quite turn out the was I thought.

All GM Mini-van's are gone as of 2009. The loan remaining one for 2008 was the Chevrolet Uplander, and this is being replaced by the Lamda-based Traverse this year.

oh goodness already pull GMC and invest that into the chevy pickup line making chevy a bad ass truck brand with a upper and lower teared truck base! jeremy is right the vans are gone thank goodness. now they can make hybrid crossovers and electrics!
